Leaders from across the globe will meet to step up their actions to meet climate goals
This Summit is part of the Road to 2021 from the Paris Agreement on climate change, signed in 2015. The mission has been clarified: to push the countries, communities and private sector to scale up ambitions and take actions to prevent the worst effects of climate change; and by 2021 to see stronger action on climate targets. This is the road to 2020, and it requires support from all people, in all countries. The Summit will gather politicians, businessmen, social activists, representatives of local authorities, and non-profit organizations to work together on affordable and practical solutions for mitigation of the adverse effects climate change has on the environment and health of people. In order to achieve goals defined by the Paris Agreement, such as reducing global emissions by 45% over the next decade and to net zero emissions by 2050, we need to find a way to transform economies and develop green technologies that would allow producing of cheap and renewable energy.
