Event attracts hundreds of Santas, female and male Christmas pixies, elves and many thousands of spectators
Annually Copenhagen hosts a very cute and at the same time bizarre event called the World Santa Claus Congress. The World Santa Claus Congress is always taking place in the amusement park “Dyrehavsbakken”, north of Copenhagen in Denmark since 1957. It is both a professional forum and a social meeting place for real Santas from all around the world to have the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences, to build a network and show how Christmas cheer is done in different parts of the world. This congress is a gathering of Santas Clauses, Saint Nicks, Christmas elves, pixies, and Mrs. Clauses from all over the world. Only those "Christmas workers" are allowed to participate who work professionally. There are several rules and restrictions for the participants one of which is that they have to wear their full costume that meets the traditions of their country.
