One of the most respected and longest running ultra-endurance events in the world
This ain’t no tour. It is an ultra-endurance race and for that same reason, it is the most respected race in the world. More than one-third longer than the Tour de France and crammed into a smaller timeframe, the Race Across America covers 3,000 miles of land. The race is open to amateurs and professionals, cyclists of all ages, individuals or teams – they’ll just have to complete the event in less than nine days. Those who race as individuals are expected to ride upwards of 350 miles a day to maintain an adequate pace, while teams can be as large as eight members and not all of the members necessarily have to keep up the pace. It is important though that most of the team goes through an adequate amount of miles per day.
